Though, our film exhibition business is in continuation from various parental generation which is now more than 60 YEARS old, beginning from Grand Father (who was among the first few to build and start a Cinema Hall in India’s capital Delhi named as LUXMI PALACE CINEMA way back in 1956 – thereafter Father who was involved in Domestic film Distribution and now 30 years of my generation. While continuing doing my own business with above profile and expertise of nearly 30 years in film trade in addition, back then I also acted as a consultant to PVR Pictures Limited from August 2007 till July 31st 2008. During the year of my consultancy PVR Pictures released 18 Hollywood films (which amounts to highest number of English films released by PVR in one year ever since 2003) such as Eastern Promises, The Hunting Party, In Bruges & others.
Thereafter, from September 1st 2008 to October 31st 2010 in addition to our film import profile I was also acting as a consultant with BENNETT & COLEMAN CO. LTD (parental company of Times of India Group) for their expansion plan on Hollywood acquisitions and Exploitation/foreign sales of Indian Cinema in the International Market place for their film division “Film Entertainment & Asset Management” (FEAM).
